Washington Ave. Deli: Open

Img_0448We noticed this past weekend that the new Washington Ave. Deli/Grocery is now open for business.  Based on the wall of do-rags in the window, we're not expecting much.  It is slated to be open 24 hours, however.

The last deli in this spot had a pretty sketchy vibe.  We'll have to see how this one pans out.

How about Mountain Dew rags.

It being open 24 hours is not all a good thing. Crackheads seem to have a mental Mapquest of all the 24 hour stores in their areas as it is at these places that they can get lighters & other accessories, hold doors open for change or just hang out on the nearby dumpster waiting for opportunities. I've always hated living near 24 hour stores.
