Another Price Drop at 306 Lincoln Rd.
We took a look at these 2 bedroom condos, and we're not surprised to see that the price has dropped to $289K.
Back when we first had a look at the inside of the building, we said:
At best, the renovation is tolerable. At worst, it's pretty dang tacky. The kitchen backsplashes include intermittent images of fruit. The bathrooms are very floral. The hallways are adorned with super-padded hotel style burgundy floral carpeting... the padding indicates to us that the floor underneath is incredibly uneven and in bad shape. Each unit has a washer and dryer, but there isn't really an appropriate place for them. They're basically stuck in the middle of a hallway, fully exposed.
Price can change, but awkward layout and tacky finishes cannot. Considering that one bedroom coop apartments are fetching around $260-270K, the $289K pricetag on these 2 bedrooms does not bode well for 306 Lincoln.

My favorite: "selling quickly!"
Sadly, my rental apartment must have had the same contractor: we have intermittent fruit tiles, too.

I had a look at these units, too. They're terrible. Nothing wrong with converting railroads into condo units (I think they are two units put together), but these two beds are plain cheesy. And the young women showing the places are clearly too young to be brokers (one seemed like she might have been a teenager).

Our flipper seller's contractor put in intermittent fruit tiles too! Who is this person?

NYS law says you have to be 18 years old to be a salesperson (HS diploma NOT required) and 19 to be a broker (recently increased from 17 and 18, respectively), so it's possible that she was both a salesperson and a tennager!
