Inside Brooklyn & Slim

As you may have noticed, our previous post about Brooklyn & Slim included only a shot of the outside of the establishment.  Though we made it inside, we did not take any pictures of the interior.

It's during times like these when we realize just how much we love our readers.

A reader (who shall remain nameless, unless s/he would like his/her name included in the post) was kind enough to send ATP some snapshots of the inside of Brooklyn & Slim.  The shots are great, and s/he also sent us more information on B&S.  With respect to the photo on the left, we're told that the bartender (aka Starmaid) goes by the name Donnette.  If only we could show you her napkin trick!

On the right is a shot of the artwork inside B&S.  Apparently, these paintings were done by a former patron.

And finally, below we have a wide shot of the bar.  We totally dig the decor - you really need to take a stop in to get a look at the old vinyl.  Priceless.

We went oustide. AGAIN.

ATP has been doing a pretty good job of sticking to our liquid diet.  We figured that with the advent of K-Dog, we'll have little trouble working the caffeine end of things.  However, we were feeling a little malnourished in terms of booze.

So, being the problem solvers that we are, ATP descended upon a local watering hole known as Brooklyn and Slim.

One word: SWEET.

First of all, to get inside B&S, you have to ring a doorbell to be let in - gives you that VIP feel.  Second, you're greeted by B&S's decor, which is straight out of the mid 80s.  To make matters even better, the internet jukebox allows you to find pretty much any track ever recorded, so we were able to satisfy our craving for Lionel Richie with aplomb.

Though the beer selection is a little slim (no pun intended), the bartender does this cool trick with a napkin when she serves up the bottles.  We were happy.

We're gonna have a party all night long at Brooklyn & Slim.  Pun intended.
